Animal Control Officer I/II « Click for Job Flyer

We are seeking an Animal Control Officer I/II to enforce applicable state laws and county ordinances governing the control of domestic animals.  Incumbent will respond to citizens’ requests and complaints regarding domestic animal control problems; work under close supervision while being trained and will gradually work more independently as knowledge and skills are developed.

Education and Experience:  High School graduate or equivalent.  No Animal Control Officer experience necessary for the Level (I).  Must have proven experience dealing with animals.  Qualifying experience would be veterinarian technician or helper, kennel attendant, zoo attendant, 4-H or farm experience, or animal training experience.  Level (II) requires one year of experience performing duties equivalent to an Animal Control Officer I either on a paid or volunteer basis.
